Roelle’s life has been nothing but tragic at the hands of her abusive family. But the worst tragedy of all occurs when she kills her cousin after he tries to take advantage of her. In order to avoid being put to death for the murder, Roelle runs away deep into the winter forest, where she encounters the lone Kayden in his cabin.
